SASSA Mobile Units Schedule February 2026: Bringing Services to Rural Communities
Recognizing that many beneficiaries live far from urban centers, SASSA has deployed a fleet of mobile units for the February 2026 cycle. These "offices on wheels" allow citizens to apply for grants, check their status, and resolve payment issues without traveling to a main city.
High-Priority Areas for February
The mobile units will focus on the following regions during the first two weeks of February:
- Limpopo: Vhembe and Mopani districts.
- Eastern Cape: OR Tambo and Alfred Nzo districts.
- KwaZulu-Natal: Zululand and Umkhanyakude districts.
- Northern Cape: John Taolo Gaetsewe district.
Services Available at Mobile Units
You can perform almost any action at a mobile unit that you could at a brick-and-mortar office:
- New grant applications (Old Age, Disability, CSG).
- Updating banking details.
- Biometric verification for the SRD grant.
- Card replacements and PIN resets.
What to Bring
To ensure you are helped quickly, remember to bring your original 13-digit ID document, proof of residence, and any relevant medical or birth certificates.
