SASSA July 2026 Payment Dates: Mid-Year Grant Schedule — SRD Batches 25-31 July
SASSA has released the July 2026 payment schedule, marking the mid-point of the 2026/27 financial year. The standard three-day rotation continues for permanent grants, with SRD payments in the last week of July.
July 2026 Payment Dates
| Grant Type | Payment Date | |---|---| | Older Persons Grant | Thursday, 2 July 2026 | | Disability Grant | Friday, 3 July 2026 | | Children's Grants | Monday, 6 July 2026 | | SRD R370 Grant | 25-31 July 2026 (batch payments) |
Understanding Your SRD Payment Date
The SRD R370 grant is paid in batches, not all on one day. Your personal Pay Day depends on:
- Your application approval date
- Your payment method (bank account receives funds fastest)
- Whether your banking details are fully verified
If you see 'Approved' but no Pay Day date yet, this is normal — it means your application passed but is waiting for the next payment batch. Check our approved status guide to understand the full process.
July 2026: What Has Changed
Six months into the 2026/27 financial year, several changes have taken effect:
- Life certification is now mandatory for all grant types — complete yours on the self-service portal
- Biometric verification is required for new SRD applicants — see our troubleshooting guide
- Grant amounts remain at the April 2026 increased levels
Payment Collection by Province
If you are collecting your grant in cash, know your province's busiest days:
- Gauteng — avoid first 3 days of the month due to high volumes
- Western Cape — branches in Khayelitsha are busiest on pension day
- KwaZulu-Natal — inland districts (Ladysmith, Port Shepstone) have shorter queues than Durban
