Gather Your Required Documents

Apply Online (Fastest Option)

Two official online portals are used for SASSA applications in 2026:
  • SRD grant: go to srd.sassa.gov.za, enter your 13-digit ID number and mobile number, provide banking details, and submit. You can also apply via the official SASSA WhatsApp line (082 046 8553) or the Moya App.
  • Permanent grants: go to services.sassa.gov.za, the official SASSA Services Portal. Register an account, log in, and complete the online application for the Older Persons, Disability, Child Support, Foster Child, Care Dependency, Grant-in-Aid, or War Veterans Grant. You will be guided through the steps and may need to upload supporting documents.

Apply In Person at a SASSA Office (If You Prefer)
