Why Your Status May Still Say "Pending"

If your status has not changed from "Pending" to "Approved" yet, this is normal. SASSA's verification cycle runs from the 15th to the 22nd of each month. Applications that passed verification are still being batched for payment. Check back after the 27th if you see no change.

Common July Issues to Watch For

1. Bank Details Pending

If your status shows "Bank Details Pending," your application is approved but SASSA cannot pay you. Update your banking details on the SRD portal immediately to be included in the next batch.

2. Identity Verification Required

Some applicants have been flagged for biometric (eKYC) verification in July. If you received an SMS with a verification link, complete it within 72 hours. Failure to do so will change your status to "Self-Correction Required."
