The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the August 2026 payment schedule. As with every month, Older Persons Grants will be paid first, followed by Disability and Children's Grants, with the SRD R370 batch at month-end.

Bank Verification Cycle
SASSA will conduct its automated bank verification between 15 and 22 August. Ensure your registered mobile number is active and your banking details are up to date on the SRD portal to avoid delays.
Biometric Verification (eKYC)
Beneficiaries flagged for enhanced security checks will receive an SMS with a biometric verification link. Complete the facial recognition process within the link's validity window to prevent your status from changing to "Self-Correction Required."
Payment Collection Tips
- No rush to withdraw: Your money is safe in your account. Avoid queues by waiting 2-3 days after the payment date.
- Retail collection: If collecting at Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, or Checkers, wait for the SMS containing your collection code before going to the store.
