What This Status Means

'Cancelled' means SASSA has removed your grant from the payment system. This is different from a monthly decline — a cancellation means your entire application has been closed or withdrawn. The most common reason is not collecting your grant for three consecutive months, which causes SASSA to suspend and eventually cancel the application. A cancellation is not a permanent ban. You can reapply at any time on the official SRD portal with your ID number, and your reapplication is assessed on the same monthly cycle as new applications.
