What This Status Means

'UIF Registered' means SASSA cross-checked your ID number against the Department of Employment and Labour's UIF database and found that you appear as a registered contributor or recipient. Even if you are not currently receiving UIF payments, simply being registered can trigger this status and block your SRD grant. This often happens because a former employer never deregistered you when you left.
